So my birthday was this past weekend. Whoo hoo! 24. I'm not sure how I feel about this age. Being 23 was a really great experience, so I have high expectations for 24.

Tenzin came to visit me, and we went to Big Sur. We had such a gorgeous time. The weather was bright and beautiful, warm and sunny.

We camped at the Riverside Inn Campgrounds & Cabins. We had a warm lunch at Nepenthe, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Deetjen's. At Pfeiffer Beach we were able to see some awesome rock formations. Then we took a small hiking trip in Pfeiffer State Park.

It was nice... a just-the-two-of-us kinda thing. At night, we visited the Pacific Ocean and laid down in ice plant, watching the stars and clouds above us. Walking along the beach at night was so calming.. nobody else there but us.

I'm glad Tenzin isn't in California with me. It makes our time together so much more special, and jam-packed with fun and excitement because I'm aware that there is an end to our time together. I truly value the relationship I have with him.

My nephew Keenan wrote me a letter! It was super cute. He's in 2nd grade now! I can't believe how quickly he is growing! And such a smart kid, too. I can't wait to see my family in December. Only a few short weeks away, and I'll be back in Wisconsin to experience a real winter with snow!
Until later.. ta-ta.
